Maxthon is een krachtige webbrowser met een interface die je zelf kunt aanpassen. Maxthon is gebaseerd op de Internet Explorer engine wat betekent dat alles wat in Internet Explorer werkt, ook op dezelfde manier in Maxthon zal werken, maar dan wel met veel toegevoegde handige functies. In deze nieuwe versie van Maxthon werden er belangrijke wijzigingen aangebracht en bugs gefixt.

Major Changes:- Collector Service - Now you can upload/download any text you saved in Maxthon's collector(Ctrl+G)
- Restore Favorites from Backup - This feature helps you restore your favorites back to yesterday and before.
- Float Ads Filter - Float Ads are annoy. This 'one of most wanted' 1.x feature is back.

Bugs fixed:
- Fixed separator problem under multi-column menu mode
- Fixed images folder always be created problem
- Fixed "force open link in new tab" only work after page complete problem
- Fixed Could not Open local file problem (the last character was missing)
- Fixed a bug that caused browser to crash when auto-run plugins
- Fixed several RSS related internal bugs
- Fixed the "auto select" did not work on webbar problem
