Onlangs heeft Grisoft een nieuwe versie van haar antivirusprogramma uitgebracht. Het gaat hier om de bètaversie 8.0.42a1225 met daarin antirootkitdetectie en een webshield. Ook is er een nieuwe scanengine met verbeterde performance en heuristische detectie. AVG Antivirus beschermt je computer real-time tegen virussen, wormen en trojaanse paarden. Deze virusscanner wordt dagelijks automatisch geüpdatet, en werkt samen met de meeste e-mailprogramma's om je computer te beschermen tegen geïnfecteerde berichten.
