Miro is recentelijk bijgewerkt naar versie 2.0. Miro stelt de gebruiker in staat om internettelevisie en videobestanden af te spelen. Deze videobestanden kunnen van YouTube, BitTorrent, een RSS-feed, podcasts of ingebouwde kanalen afkomen. De laatste optie heeft overigens erg veel HD-content. Daarnaast is het programma ook nog eens open source en dus beschikbaar voor Linux, Mac OS X en Windows. De link onderaan dit artikel download de nieuwste versie van Miro voor Windows, voor de andere besturingssystemen kun je hier terecht.
