As a Team Lead Applications you are responsible for the day to day operations of the Application Specialist Group. You are a coach for our application specialists (8FTE internal and 15 FTE external). You take care of all HR / operational tasks and you develop the application specialist group in maturity, performance and skills. Besides that, you are responsible for the team performance for IT Services offered by the application specialist group, within the agreed SLA’s, KPI’s and quality standards. You report directly to the Manager IT Applications.

As Team Lead Applications you ensure the optimal maintenance and development of all applications in scope of the Application specialist group. The main activities of this application specialist group are:

  • Second line and third line helpdesk
  • Application maintenance (incident- & problem management)
  • Application development (Changes & projects)
  • Application lifecycle management
  • Improve application performance
  • Application architecture
  • Contract - & supplier management in these area’s
  • Software-asset & license management
  • Access/security management
  • Application continuity

The Team Lead Applications replaces the Manager IT Applications during absence in decision boards/project executive level when needed.

Functie eisen

To be successful in this challenging position, you need to have gained 5-10 years of IT-experience in the field of business application delivery management. On top of that you have 3-5 years of managerial experience. Preferably within the engineering and innovation domain around PLM solutions like Oracle Agile, TeamCenter or WindChill.

You have a bachelor or master degree in information management and auditing and significant knowledge of IT-architecture and Projectmanagement (Prince 2) and have knowledge in Agile/Scrum ways of working. Ideally, you have knowledge of the complex manufacturing industry and its business model/processes as well.

You can be best described as an innovator and motivator. You are diplomatic, analytical and you have great problem analysis and solving skills. You have the ability to empathize with stakeholders, you are creative and you have the ability to recognize and solve problems in a structural way with your team. Besides that, you are result driven, persistent and persuasive. You are focused on delivery and on operational excellence.
