AMD heeft vandaag de Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400+ geïntroduceerd. Dit zorgt voor nog hogere prestaties bij de laptop-gebruikers.
De nieuwe aanwinst zorgt voor de dagelijkse compatibiliteit met de huidige 32-bit omgeving en met de 64-bits omgeving van morgen. Net zoals alle andere Athlon 64’s heeft deze ook de Enhanced Virus Protection functie die aangezet kan worden in Windows Service Pack 2 voor XP.
Ook heeft AMD vandaag de Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+ aangekondigd. Dit betekent nog hogere prestaties voor de gebruikers van een tablet PC.

Om mee te gaan in de snel groeiende markt, hebben Alienware en Epson Direct al plannen om notebooks aan te bieden met de nieuwe Mobile 3400+.
